Spring is coming and with that we begin the season of trade shows, conferences, and other events surrounding the use of composite materials for structures and repairs.  Kicking off the season is the SAE Aerotech conference in Charleston, SC, March 25-28, 2019, where Abaris will have a booth (#219) and two of our staff will present oral presentations. The first presentation titled “Issues of Concern in Composite Repair, and Some Newer Developments” is scheduled for 8:00 am on Thursday, March 28th, and is presented by Abaris’ president, Michael J. (Mike) Hoke. This is followed at 9:15 am by our senior engineering instructor, Greg Kress.  He will be giving a presentation titled “Analysis and Substantiation for Composite Repairs.” At 3:30 pm that afternoon, Greg and Mike will participate with Ed Harris from Heatcon Composite Systems and Ray Kaiser from Delta Airlines in a panel discussion on Composite Repairs.

On March 27th, 2019, the Abaris staff will be at the 14th Annual SAMPE Wasatch Front Materials Expo (WFME), from 4:00-8:00 pm, at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus in Sandy, UT. This is followed by the MRO America’s event, April  9th-11th in Atlanta, GA where our own Corrie Volinkaty, technical instructor, will be leading the composite repair portion of the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC).

Please plan to look us up if you attend any of these events. We are happy to discuss our training offerings or just “talk shop” with you about your advanced composite projects.
